SliceScope

Affiliate disclosure

Some links on SliceScope earn us a commission. Here's exactly which ones, how it works, and why it never moves a ranking.

SliceScope earns money through affiliate links. When you click certain outbound links and later buy, the provider pays us a commission at no extra cost to you. We're disclosing that plainly here and inline next to the links themselves, in line with FTC guidance. What follows is the honest detail most disclosure pages skip.

Links to DigitalOcean, Contabo, Hostwinds, ScalaHosting, IONOS and Hosting.com may earn us a commission. Vultr's program is different and we flag it wherever it appears: it pays in account credit, not cash, so we treat a Vultr link as a recommendation of a good product, not a revenue play. All affiliate links are marked rel="sponsored nofollow" and route through our /go/ redirector so you can always see where they lead.

Our two best-value picks, Hetzner and Linode/Akamai, run no cash affiliate program, so we earn nothing when we recommend them — and we still rank them in the top four of the VPS ranking. That's the test of an honest list: if commission drove the order, the free-to-recommend providers would never be near the top. Here they are, because the scores are set by specs and price.

How it affects our rankings

It doesn't. Rankings come from five scoring criteria — price-per-resource, performance consistency, network and locations, control and support — applied to published specs and advertised prices. A commission never buys a placement, a better score or a softer review, and a provider that pays us nothing is never ranked lower for it. If we ever can't reconcile a recommendation with that rule, we don't make it.
